Welcome Letter From The Principal

Larry Basinger – Principal

Larry Basinger – Principal

Thank you very much for considering Providence Christian Academy as part of your child’s ongoing education. We recognize the awesome responsibility that parents face while being bombarded by the constant influx of information and influence in today’s culture.

One of our few insights into the early life of Jesus is recorded in Luke 2. The passage concludes in verse 52 by telling us that Jesus “increased in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and men.” Our goal at Providence is to help our students develop in these same areas:  acquisition and application of knowledge, healthy physical growth, conduct that is pleasing to God, and a lifestyle that serves as both salt and light in our community.

To that end, our course of study is academically sound and firmly grounded in the Word of God. Our administration and faculty strive to model Christ-like attitudes behavior both in and out of the classroom setting. “Follow us as we follow Christ” is our exhortation, and we desire to teach critical thinking skills rooted in a Christian worldview. Students are encouraged to be involved in service within our school family and to our community at large.

Providence Christian Academy is not a denominationally focused school. We have students from a variety of Christian faith traditions. We find common ground in the good news of Jesus Christ and God’s promise to make us “new creations in Christ.” Our ultimate goal is to produce well-prepared students who love the Lord their God with all their hearts, minds, souls, and strength and who also love their neighbors as they do themselves.

We welcome your questions and invite you to stop by for a visit. Thank you again for the privilege of presenting Providence Christian Academy for your consideration.

Because He Lives!
